I’ve wanted to build another business of my own for a while. One of the things I’ve started is a pool villa that I plan to rent for short stays. At the moment, the work is getting the property ready.
The renovation is still underway. I’ll have more to write about once we get closer to opening and begin learning from the people who stay there.
The questions I’m thinking about
My instinct is to think about the operations alongside the property. How will bookings be managed? Where will the information about the villa live? How will someone answering a guest’s question know they are giving the right answer?
I’ve also been considering small software ideas that could work through LINE. There may be a connection with the rental business, but I haven’t settled what that should be. I want to understand the work involved before describing a software product as the answer.
For now, this page records where things stand. As the villa gets closer to opening, there will be more practical decisions and experiences to write about.
